The house is located in a quiet little residential street of Skopelos town with steps and without traffic.  It is very close to a bakery, cheese and butcher shop, supermarket, greengrocer's, hairdresser as well as a variety of gift and clothes shops.  The bustle of the harbour with its tavernas, bars, cafés and shops is a couple of minutes walk, while Skopelos Main Port is 6 minutes on foot (300 m away).  A car is not necessary for staying on the island as there is a good bus and taxi service.

GUESTS REVIEWS

Andrea Donald, Brisbane, Australia March, April 2019 Rosie’s house was a delightful place to spend eight days of our holiday in Europe. Although we were early in the season and not all the restaurants, hotels etc were open, it was wonderful for the many walks we could do from the town. Being Spring there was a profusion of wildflowers and blossoms. The town house was halfway up the hill in the middle of the charming town, so the views from the 3rd level patio were lovely. Inside, the owners had renovated with care and style and every possible item you could require was to hand. The owners were very helpful suggesting alternative ways of reaching the island and also prompt in replying to any questions we had whilst staying at Rosie’s House. We can recommend this property highly for a very comfortable stay. Kristy Sykes, United Kingdom June 2015 It's a beautiful house. We're staying there for the third time in nine weeks. We can't wait!  Caroline E, United Kingdom June 2014 T

SPECIAL INTEREST HOLIDAYS

– by Rosie Thomason, owner  It is said that Skopelos is the greenest of all the Greek islands and once you have spent some time exploring this magical place it is a difficult claim to deny. With five million pines, fifty thousand olive trees and only five thousand inhabitants it is a place where the natural world dominates and the heat of the beaches is fringed by the cool of the forests. There are also many broad leaf trees to be seen including sweet chestnuts, walnuts and oak trees, as well as a variety of wild flowers and orchids. In addition, the island was once famous for the production of plums which were dried in the many plum ovens that create one of the myriad of architectural features seen throughout. Skopelos has a fabulous, varied coastline of sweeping beaches, rugged cliffs and azure blue seas. All but a couple of the beaches are made up of pebbles – ideal for snorkelling. Skopelos Town has a good variety of waterfront tavernas, bars and cafes, as well as original pottery
